A Taste Of Aggieland : Hullabaloo Diner, TX

How did a quirky, good ole’ All-American diner get from Albany, New York to College Station, Texas? Well it took an awful lot of hullabaloo, that’s for sure. You may have heard of this unique restaurant on the famous Food Network show, Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives. Yep… when you look over the menu, you’re looking over the same menu Guy Fieri gazed upon. Who knows, you could be sitting in the same seat! The chances of this are actually pretty high being that there are only about 12 booths in the entire place and about 15 bar stools.

Hullabaloo Diner is one of College Station’s, also known as Aggieland, pride and joys. Be sure to get there early to get a seat in this hopping restaurant, because you are sure to face about an hour wait. The good news is that they have a really cool bar area outside where you can sit, order drinks/food, play games, and listen to some cool live music while you patiently wait for your turn in the 1940’s DeRaffele Diner!

When you do finally make it into the diner to eat… you will be utterly charmed by the cozy, authentic dining experience you are walking into. You will immediately feel as though you are thrown back into the past. This tiny little slice of the 1940’s couldn’t be more perfect! …and the food doesn’t disappoint either. The menu is bursting with delights, including giant cinnamon rolls and delicious shakes! If you’re in the area, this isn’t a stop you want to miss!

As a final note, beware! The diner’s hours aren’t the norm we are all used to in this modern day and age. No, this is no 24/7 Waffle House. So, make sure you swing by when the doors are open, and get ready for a one-of-a-kind experience!
